PRODUCE PROGRAMMES AND INITIATIVES TO IMPROVE VET

IN A NATIONAL FRAMEWORK

Activity 3
LOCAL AUTHORITIES WORKING TOGETHER WITH LOCAL
BUSINESSES.

In order to start a similar process in your local practice, follow the steps to understand which stakeholders need to be involved in the process and
how you would communicate with them to help improve local and national frameworks.

STEP 1

Make a list of your local and national authorities (specific for each partners country):
-Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance
-Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC)
-Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment (MoA)
-Cyprus Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (KEBE)
-Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA)
STEP 2

Make a list of VET authorities (colleges, institutions etc.)
-Cyprus Academy of Public Administration
-Foundation for the management of the European lifelong learning programmes

STEP 3

Draft a letter/email addressing the stakeholders in the above authorities stressing the importance of bringing together VET and Employers'
authorities to bridge the gap between the 2. Consider arranging an online or face to face meeting.
