LEVEL 4
Level 4, Enhancing Internationalisation, covers the main objectives outlined for this Level in the BRIDGES Employer Engagement Framework. Within this unit, VET managers and professionals will learn how to advise VET providers and employers on the strategic planning of WBL and international cooperation. It includes three learning units, each comprising a specific activity to lead the learner in achieving the learning objectives expected in Level 4 professional standards. The learning hours to complete each learning unit are approximately 5: 4 in self-directed learning and 1 with tutor training. The topics covered are theory and context; benefits and risks, comparative analysis, stakeholder mapping and strategy implementation and review.
Introduction

This level considers the inter-related concepts of globalisation and internationalisation in Vocational Education & Training and understand how internationalisation strategies must be responsive to the changing dynamics of globalisation.

You will consider the benefits of developing your internationalisation approach alongside some of the potential risks and opportunities presented by changing trends and developments in globalisation as they relate to your own organisational context.

The learning objectives of this module are:

    After the completion of Level 4, the learner will be able to:

    • Understand and develop a business strategy for the organisation which identifies the opportunities and risks in developing WBL international cooperation
    • Research the benefits of VET and WBL systems in a sector/ country to enable this to be shown as a positive case for the adoption of the WBL model
    • Discover and design CPD and other activities that will raise awareness and confidence of all stakeholders to deliver the organisation’s internationalisation strategy
    • Analyse and compare frameworks and national standards across EU countries showing the benefits to other countries not yet engaged in the VET model
    • Deliver within international settings for in-person or digital delivery while adapting learning to different VET systems based on the EQF
    • Deliver models of learning to different stakeholders, giving them the ability to apply the VET model to their own national, regional, and local requirements
    • Apply and adapt delivery to changing needs of the employers, the sector/nation as knowledge increases and possible changes to programmes are made
    • Produce processes, procedures and policies that support successful international partnerships and cooperation
