As VET providers and employers start establishing partnerships, they start addressing specific economic sectors to extend their influence on other VET organisations, enterprises and stakeholders. A core benefit of such tasks is to sustain strong networks both locally and nationally to support economic development and future employment creations.
The basis for networking is to find common understandings that serve the interests of the VET providers, employers and stakeholders simultaneously. Building networks and consortiums allow the activities of engaged partners to be more effective while establishing strong community focus.
Decision making processes in the networks can take several forms; examples include roundtables with representatives (directors, coordinators, etc.) of the VET centers, employers and other community action groups.
