LEVEL 2
Level 2 is designed to help VET providers collaborate with employers, both in developing career profiles that meet the needs and trends of the labour market and in modifying the occupational standards governing VET. It includes a total of three learning units. Through different activities in each of the units, the learner will be able to understand and test the importance of including the approach of both, VET providers and employers, in co-designing curricula and career pathways.
Introduction

VET providers should engage with employers in mapping career profiles according to the needs, trends, and forecasts of their sector, even the modification of VET occupational standards linked to them.

Collaboration between then is essential in the contextualisation of the occupational standards to reflect the knowledge, skills and attitudes in the workplace and the definition of all the responsibilities and tasks an employee is required to perform for each specific job.

Strong working ties between VET providers and employers during the design of training standards provides multiple advantages and benefits for the VET system, the labour market and the employability of students, such as the standardisation of courses, industry recognised certification and cross-employer transferability.
